ROOM for SUBLET at MEIR 25m2
Hey guys! My room at Xior Kipdorpvest will be available to sublet in July and August. The room is at the 8th floor and has a rooftop terrace connected to the room. It also has a own bathroom within. The room is at the beginning of the Meir and close to the railway station. There is a possibility to rent the room after the period as well if you contact the landlord. Price: €668 INCLUDING EVERYTHING Location: Kipdorpvest 49-55 / Frankrijklei 64 (two entrances) Time Frame: July - August (possible to extend if contact XIOR) The room is 25m2 and is a semi studio in fact, it has its own bathroom and kitchenette (without furnace) including an OWN refrigerator!! There are two sinks present as well and an own toilet is also present. For cooking there is a kitchen and living room area for the floor 7 and 8 (really spacious and perfect for friend having over). Personally, I cooked there everyday and never shared a furnace with anyone, since at that floor there are 3 stoves and ovens + microwave. I think approximately the 8th has 12 rooms, so it is the most ‘luxurious’ floor of the building. Therefore, the rooms at this floor are usually always occupied. For me I was here only for a semester. Unfortunately it almost came to an end as I didn’t regret a second of living here and had a blast. Moreover, this is the biggest Xior residence of Antwerp and has a lot of residents with different nationalities but also Belgians. What I find a super big advantage is that this Xior building (the only one) has a reception where during the week there are always people. So that means my parcels get delivered there, if something is broken I also inform them, where they helped me to fix the things (of course it depends on what is defect). The common areas are being cleaned by the cleaning lady which comes quite frequently and that makes it hygienic. Nevertheless, I like that you have your own facilities in your room and you can adapt that to your cleaning pattern. What for me was a selling point was the rooftop terrace, this is only shared with +/- 8 persons, that is an almost private area, considering there are hundreds of students living here. Therefore, the building has security locks on all the entrances and in my opinion is really important if I look for a place to stay. Overall, I am very glad to have live here, since everything is reachable by foor as well (I didn’t have a bike, nor used the public transportation). It is walking distance to the University of Antwerp, KDG Groenplaats, the Opera Metro Station (main point of transfers in Antwerp) and not to forget the Main Railway Station (even from the room you can see it)!
